I am a primarily self-taught artist, and draw my  inspiration for my vibrant and realistic paintings from my extensive travels throughout Canada and  to other countries around the world.

My varied subject matter consists of landscapes, seascapes, historical buildings, flora and fauna , portraits and still life. The surfaces upon which I paint are also varied...canvas, board, metal, paper, glass and stone.

Oil is my preferred media, however I also obtains good results in watercolour. And while watercolour is much more difficult for me, I can make either reflect the  richness of colour and the strong and vibrant style I like to achieve.

My husband and I opened a new art gallery, Wellington Artists' Gallery and Art Centre in May 2008, which is a collective accommodating  30 artists. As well, a General Membership is available to those who want to be associated with the Gallery but do not wish to exhibit for the season.  Some of these artists do month long Guest Artist exhibitions.  In the Lower Gallery, Special Exhibitions,  featuring individuals and local art groups, take advantage of an  opportunity to present their works to the numerous visitors who come to view and buy.  The mission of the Gallery is to help local artists develop their skills and market their work.  To that end, skilled artists hold workshops to teach techniques in various media.
